Last night, Ru and I took Signal to the Emily Carr exhibit at the AGO. We decided on a field-trip of sorts with the library aunties and uncle, because JG is always saying that our standing Wednesday night get-together is getting a little boring. Heck, this week we traveled south of Steeles. How's that for exciting?
We brought Signal's copy of the book "Urban Babies Wear Black" with us to the gallery, and took his picture with it outside the AGO. He was even wearing a black shirt! That way, he has pictures to commemorate his very first trip to an art gallery.
Ru wore Signal in our Ergo while we went through the exhibit. That way we could talk to him about the art and he could see it at eye-level, just like the rest of us. He seemed to really enjoy himself. He slept through the first part (I think that the dim lights and whispering make him dozy), but he was awake for the rest. I was glad that he was in a good mood. But really, when he's in his carrier, he's rarely in a bad mood.
I think that everyone had a good time. I know we sure did. Now Ru and I are going to take a look and see what kind of things might be going on at the ROM or Ontario Science Centre anytime soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for more librarian field trip adventures.
