We took Signal for his 6 month well-baby visit today. We were a little late in getting around to it, since we were in Oklahoma when he actually turned 6 months. So off we went to see Dr. Y, to make sure all was well with our squid.
Not really much to our surprise, all IS well with Signal. He is tall, and big, and strong, and just generally doing what a baby his age should be doing. In terms of his stats at this point, they are now as such:
height - 29 1/2 inches (that is 2 inches more than he was at 4 months)
weight - 21 1/2 lbs (that is almost 2.5 lbs more than he was at 4 months)
head circumference - 18.5 inches (that is 1/2 inch bigger than it was at 4 months)
It seems like his growth has finally slowed. Thank heavens, because I didn't know what we were going to do for clothes if the trend had continued! As it is, we tried on 12-18 month Robeez at Once Upon a Child on Friday, and he had nearly no growing room. Looks like we'll be getting 18-24 for the fall. Scary...
Signal was also a total trooper about his shots. He let out a bit of a wail after the first needle, whimpered a bit for the second, and then immediately stopped crying. By the time we had the bandaids on his little thighs, he was all giggles again. We love our good-natured boy!
