what we didn't tell opa on the phone

When Signal and I spoke to my dad on the phone today, we told him that Signal is now pulling up on everything and cruising along the furniture. We promised Opa a blog post with pictures of Signal standing and cruising, and we will post them. Tomorrow.

Because today's post is just for you, Opa. This evening, Ru and I gave Signal his first ever big boy haircut. With the clippers. Set on #4.
This is how much hair we cut off Signal's little head, not including the stuff that was stuck to him or me or Ru.

Sitting on the carpet in his room, modeling his buzz cut.

A close-up of the shortness of it all.

And to show off the standing, here's the top of Signal's head.

Signal was not scared of the clippers at all. We though that the vibrations or the noise might bother him, but he was a total trooper. He fussed a bit, but I think it was more because he got bored half way through.

And with his hair so short, we have learned that our chiropractor is doing good work. Signal's head is much, much less lopsided than it was a few short months ago. He still has a bit of a bump on one side, but I think it's because of the way he sleeps and no longer a side-effect of his rather traumatic birth experience.

We hope you like Signal's new military haircut Opa!
