Over the long weekend, our whole family took a road trip out to western Ontario to have a visit with the K sisters. It was a great opportunity to get out of the GTA for a while, and a nice chance to spend some time as a family. We did a bit of shopping, a bit of eating, a bit of driving, and a bit of drinking. All in all a very successful and generally relaxing weekend.
On Saturday, we went in to Stratford. It just so happened that my mom's cousin J, his wife C, their daughter H, and their granddaughter S were also in Stratford for a wedding. We took this opportunity to have a short visit with them and exchange some goods. Oma sent up Signal's birthday gift so that we would have it on hand, and I sent back the jewelry I had borrowed from her for J & J's wedding.
It was very cute to see Signal interact with S. S is 9 months older than Signal, and quite a firecracker. I think Signal was jealous at her mobility! S was running and jumping and climbing, and all he could do was watch from the floor. Poor buddy. But when she stopped and got close, he decided it was time to make his move:
He was too cute. I guess older ladies in pretty dresses are pretty irresistible. S didn't seem to mind too much though.
