a boy and his... cat

Ever since becoming more mobile, Signal has really had a lot of love to give our kitties. Perhaps it is also that he missed them over the holidays when we stayed at Oma & Opa's house, since they no longer have pets. (Dad, I'm trying to get you a dog here.)

Signal will now walk over to wherever it is that the cats have decided to install themselves, and he will give them gentle pets, hugs and kisses. He's really very good about not being too rough with them. The only time he gets overly excited is with their little wet noses, which he likes to poke at. The cats do have teeth and claws though, so Signal gets the message loud and clear when they have had enough.

Signal navigates the papasan to get to Begley.

Leaning in for kitty kisses.

A satisfied cat, post baby-love.

It's a whole lot of fun to see Signal interact with animals. He seems to like them all, including my aunt's little dog Shamrock, whom he affectionately dubbed "Hamhock" over the holidays. One day, when we actually own a house, our boy will have his dog.
