go giants!

Last night Ru, Signal and I were invited to L, C and Baby K's house to watch the Superbowl. Even though we were rooting for different teams, they let us through the door and into the party room to watch the big game on the big TV. Woo hoo! We were also joined by E & J. Party time was inevitable.

L made us delicious sports-watching food. Wings, nachos, chips and dip... it was all very tasty. We snacked and tried not to get too bored during the first three quarters, when there was absolutely nothing of interest going on in the game.

L, C, Ru and I spent a lot of time talking about how much difference a year had made in our kids. It's really when you celebrate annual events that you realize how much children change from one year to the next.

Rather amazing, don't you think? They were both playing and running all over the place, trying to figure out how to get up the stairs and generally getting into things that they should have left alone. But for an almost 14 month-old and an almost 16 month-old, they did very well. They played side by side. They actually shared. They snacked. And Signal only tried to bite Baby K once! We were all pleasantly surprised.

Good friends.

In the end, the fourth quarter was actually pretty exciting. C was hoping for a different outcome to the game, but Ru and I were thrilled when the Giants pulled off a fantastic upset in the fourth quarter and beat the undefeated Patriots to win the Superbowl! When all was said and done we loaded a very sleepy Signal into the car and came home. He was pretty pooped from the evening's events and had a very good night's sleep.

A big thank you to L, C, and Baby K for their hospitality. We had a great time. I hope that the tradition continues so we can get more great baby comparison shots next year.
