then, i'll make a quick trick block stack

Yesterday Ru, Signal and I had a very happy mail day. Packages filled with items from Frontier and Just Tomatoes arrived for us! We had ordered from both companies through co-ops at MDC, and all of our great stuff came in on the same day. Oh hooray! Despite a bit of a kafuffle over brokerage fees for our Just Tomatoes (be warned - avoid UPS if possible when shipping internationally; their brokerage fees are ridiculous even if shipping seems cheaper) we were thrilled that everything had made it. We were running really short on shampoo and soap, as well as dried fruit and veg.

Signal and I had just started opening up our Just Tomatoes package when Ru arrived home. I went to the door to meet her and say hi, and when we turned and came back into the living room, here is what we were met with.

A young engineering mind at work, perhaps?? He spent pretty much all evening carrying around the containers, moving them from the floor to his rocking chair to the couch to under the couch to the armchair to his toy buckets and back again. It was quite a site to behold, and quite a mess to clean up after he went to bed. It was worth the mess to see him having so much fun with them though.

From Just Tomatoes we got 6 tubs of organic peas, 6 tubs of Fruit Munchies, 6 tubs of organic strawberries, 3 tubs of organic corn, a large tub of apricots, a large bag of tomato slices and a bag of roasted garlic. We're hoping that it'll hold us until M'amie and Pappy come to visit in late spring/early summer. And our Frontier order was a mishmash of all kinds of items, from shaving cream to iced tea to refried bean mix. How I love co-op purchasing. Must stay off the co-op boards for now... must use up what we have... mustn't spend any more money...

Sculptures that are tall and delicious? Better than a future engineer, perhaps he will end up on one of those cake or chocolate challenges on the food network!
